Harry’s Happy being retired, but like many healthy retirees he needs to keep busy. Having spent 40 years in the candy business, it was only natural that Harry combined his love for candy with something that would benefit society. Harry found it in the little candy vendors that give ongoing support to Parent Action on Drugs. With five children and twelve grandchildren, Harry has empathy for parents who struggle with children in situations of drug and alcohol abuse. These parents, as well as the children, need help.

Parent Action on Drugs, a registered charity, helps those parents. Parent Action on Drugs, as do many charities, raises a large part of their funds through private fund raising. Harry’s Happy candy vendors do just that. Charitable organizations may not own a business, so Harry buys the little vendors and the candy. A donation is made from each candy sale to Parent Action on Drugs.

Harry's Happy candy vendors are placed in lunchrooms and cafeterias, from Stoney Creek to Mississauga and north to HWY #7. Harry is assisted by 4 seniors who each work a couple of days per week. Harry's wife Betty provides for all of the administrative requirements. It is a wonderful fundraiser for Parents Action on Drugs. Candy puts a smile on your face. A little "Comfort Food" brightens the day.
